The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. – Esther 2:17
REFERENCE
Esther 2:1-17
One area in which God demonstrates His generosity to us is ‘divine favor.’ This simply means, God granting us advantages, preferential treatment and special privileges by His own unique formula, not based on how deserving or how good we are.
God specializes in granting His favor to unlikely or even seemingly undeserving people. Consider the remarkable life of Esther. She was a slave Jewess and a
second-class citizen, an orphan who didn’t take as much as the other women competing for the king’s affection.
Yet, via spectacular ‘divine favor,’ Esther became the king’s favorite; was crowned queen, and later saved her people from destruction & uplifted their status in a hostile society. What a turnaround!
Truly, favor will give you what your efforts cannot give you, and take you places your efforts cannot take you. It is not a respecter of age, race, pocket or learning. It is God’s prerogative and every believer’s birthright. “For the law came through Moses, but grace (favor) and truth came through Jesus Christ.” ~ John 1:17.
Therefore, expect to experience God’s favor despite your pedigree; expect gates to open, where doors were previously shut against you!
