So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet. – II Samuel 9:13
REFERENCE
II Samuel 9:1-13
The verse above is a summation of a story of a man who had been disfavored all his life, had been unpopular, exiled and before now, actually referred to himself as a dead dog. He was also crippled on both feet – he did not qualify for what the verse above says, “to eat continually at the king’s table.”
What are the chances that such a man would ever be uplifted to the place of sitting with kings? It sounds like a fairy tale, but that is what ‘Grace’ can do.
You may have had a similar experience to Mephibosheth’s or even worse, and because God is no respecter of persons, He wants you also to enjoy His blessings and kindness, He wants you to be lifted from obscurity and to be highly favored by kings. That, in fact is part of your salvation package.
In this month of September, may you experience upliftment and transformation; not because you deserve it or qualify in yourself to get it, but because Jesus has qualified you by His grace and mercy. A thousand years is like a day to God, may the changes in your life be astonishing, may God compress years to days for you in Jesus name.
Happy New Month!
ADDITIONAL STUDY
Psalm 113:5-8, Acts 10:34 & II Peter 3:8.
