Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” – John 6:7

Even though Jesus knew what He would do to feed the multitude that came to hear Him, He still tested Phillip with the question of where they could get enough bread to feed the multitude. Perhaps, He did that just to know Phillip’s mindset concerning God’s provisions. However, Phillip’s mind could only grasp what he saw in his immediate environment – so many mouths to feed, not enough bread, nowhere to buy bread, insufficient funds to buy bread, etc.
So naturally, Phillip’s reply was that, the best they could do as per getting bread would only amount to “every one of them having a little bite of bread.” As long as Philip’s mind could only conceive of the people eating little, he didn’t see the need of looking up to God. Likewise, when we make small dreams and plans, we stand the risk of ignoring God and thinking that what will help us is a proper management and distribution of our resources – material, financial and human.
Who told Philip that when Jesus asked that the people should be fed, all He wanted for them to have was ‘little’ food? Our God is a God of prosperity, of abundance, and of more than enough. When we think ‘little,’ we limit Him. Therefore, when Jesus (who knows the mind of God) asked that they be fed, He had abundance and baskets left over in mind. He knew such provisions ONLY come from our limitless God, not from men; for a man can only give you according to his ability…sometimes, according to his stinginess or how much he likes you or thinks he can later benefit from you.
We should therefore learn to think and plan like God and with God in mind…we should not contain Him with our pocket, our connections or our circumstances. He is El Shaddai – Sufficient to meet every need!

+ Ask God for mercy where you have limited Him in concerning meeting your needs.
+ Cast down every thought of small mindedness in your mind, and make bold declarations that your needs are abundantly supplied by El-Shaddai.
Your knowledge of who God is, allows you to access what God can do.
And Andrew said, ” There is a young boy here with 5 barley loaves and 2 fish” . Do not despise the” little” God has made available, take it , give thanks and God will multiply. Amen.

My God is more than enough, Jehovah El-shadai the creator and owner of the heavens and the earth, when making plans, look up to the hills from where comes your help and not your pocket or your bank account.
Never limit God, make big plans. Your plan may seem impossible In the eyes of man but with God all things are possible.
