…he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, ‘Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you…’ – Mark 5:18-19

Mark 5:1-20
Good morning! Welcome to a great week on Inspired 2Go! Our focus this week will be on an all important topic in the kingdom of God: “Evangelism.” I trust God that by this, He will revive the fire of evangelism in you.
Evangelism means spreading the good news of Christ to others; and as believers who have been saved by grace, that is our primary assignment on earth – to reconcile the unsaved back to Christ.
By ‘evangelizing,’ you express gratitude to God for what He has done in and for you as seen in today’s text. After Jesus delivered the demoniac in this text, he told him to go and tell his friends the good news of what the Lord had done for him, in other words, he was telling him to go and evangelize to those closest to him.
The question on most people’s lips when they are asked to evangelize is “What Am I supposed to say?” Well, you can begin by sharing your testimony of what God has done for you, e.g. salvation, or that you were delivered from an accident, addiction, sickness, depression, poverty, barrenness, etc.
As recommended by Jesus, you can begin your evangelism amongst close associations – family, friends, neighbors, colleagues etc. They know you well, so your testimony will be more authentic when you show them the evidence of God’s goodness in your life. After all, God’s plan for salvation is for us and our household; so we must take the message home.
God is counting on you to show men that the gospel transforms lives. Will you stand to be counted?
Be MOTIVATED to take the message of the good news ‘home’ this MONDAY!
