O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You… – Psalms 63:1
REFERENCE
Psalm 63:1-8
Yesterday, we concluded with the thought that God wants you to be a solution provider, so, He is calling you to the place of intimacy with Him. That’s the place David longed for when he said, “As the deer pants for the water…” (Psalm 42:1&2).
You proceed from God and are made by Him and for Him. The river that disconnects with its source will soon dry up. Nurturing intimacy with God has immeasurable benefits:
a. You will have peace that overwhelms your soul even in storms (Job 22:21).
b. God will reveal things about your life to you as His friend (John 15:15).
c. Ultimately, you will get the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:3-5).
d. Secrets to solving some of mankind’s problems will be released to you (Psalm 25:14) etc.
To develop intimacy with God;
1. Be A God Chaser – Develop a heart that yearns for God. Purposely keep Him in your thoughts like a new lover. Psalm 63:6 – On my bed I remember You, I think of…
2. Become A Student Of The Word – That’s His love letter to you. His word reveals His person, His character & His ways. Obey His word. (I John 2:3-4)
3. Seek His face in Prayers – Prayer is communication with divinity and it breeds intimacy. In the place of prayer, you reason with God and His nature rubs off on you.
In Him and with Him, you will be relevant & never be stranded in life!
This TUESDAY, may your THIRST for God lead you to the place of intimacy!
