Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind. ~ Proverbs 21:5 (MSG)
REFERENCE
Proverbs 21:5-6
Foresight is the ability to think ahead or to look ahead and make the necessary plans to survive the future. Any believer who wants to prosper must cultivate this wisdom. To succeed, you have to PLAN! PLAN!! PLAN!!! Success never happens by accident, it is deliberate and calculated efforts that birth it.
Amidst other factors, financial planning is also a prerequisite to your prosperity; and if you don’t plan (budget) on how you spend whatever money you make today, you can’t expect God to give you more. There is no achievement without planning.
Joseph gave Egypt an investment plan that took her through seven years of famine. So, plan your finances to withstand any famine or tough times by not letting any good year pass you by without keeping a portion of its harvest for the years to come. Get into investments now! It is never too late to start. Live below your income, and do not be ruled by the pressure to keep up with the Joneses, learn to delay gratification.
Think about tomorrow – what financial future do you want for yourself? Be careful therefore, not to allow your current appetites steal away your chance of feasting in your old age. Most times, those who worry about the future are those without plans; you don’t worry about the rain if you came prepared with an umbrella. SIMPLE!
Truth is: ‘God wants you to prosper so you can be a distributor of wealth to others.’
