Most times, when we pray and see immediate results, we testify and glorify God. But when we have to wait for results, we become frazzled. Waiting can be perplexing and can get you to a place of discouragement. However, waiting is part of life, so we have to learn the art of it.
The word ‘wait’ in our text is the Greek word ‘Qavah’ – meaning to wait upon, but more importantly, to bind together by twisting. It talks more about the attitude of those who wait on God. They willfully bind themselves to God’s will, confidently expecting His plan to produce the best result. Simply put, it means patiently serving God and doing His will without losing faith or enthusiasm.
Waiting time is not the time to complain or look for ungodly alternatives. Also, just because you have to wait longer to see a certain thing happen for you does not mean you have done something wrong; it only means there is a RIGHT time appointed for its manifestation. So enjoy where you are on your way to where you are going!
Ultimately, the waiting process will train and empower you, as seen in our text. It will give you strength, courage and the ability to soar above the storms of life. WAITING TIME IS NEVER WASTED TIME, Make your waiting period COUNT!
