Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. – Psalm 92:13
REFERENCE
Psalm 92:12-15
Continued from yesterday…
In Matthew 13:3-6 & 18-23, Jesus gave the parable of a sower who went out to sow seeds.
Interestingly, the seeds fell on four different places, but only in one place was harvest produced, i.e those that fell on good ground because their roots went deep and got nourishment from the underground waters; the others didn’t survive because they couldn’t develop roots!
This further buttresses the point, that it is your rootedness in Christ your Source, that can make you produce fruits and live tall in life. More so, you can be as stable as an ‘Iroko tree’ (a large hardwood tree from tropical west Africa) in spite of the storms of life because you know your Source. And you can bounce back from troubles because your life is rooted in a living Hope.
Since being rooted is an all important need of Christians, how then can you develop deep roots in Christ?
– Desire and become an ardent student of the Word of God; The Word of God provides all the nutrients and moisture you need to grow (1 Peter 2:2).
– Pray and listen to God; talking to God fosters closeness (James 4:8a).
However, developing strong roots does not happen overnight but requires continual effort. So start from where you are today!
REMEMBER, YOUR GROWTH IN LIFE IS NOT IN THE HANDS OF GOD BUT IN YOUR ROOTEDNESS IN CHRIST!
Produce excellent FRUITS this FRIDAY!
