Do you feel like you should be at a particular destination but you are not? Do you feel dissatisfied with where you are in life? Do you have unmet goals and expectations? Consequently, do you feel stuck in a rut with no way out? Well if your answer is ‘Yes,’ I have good news for you: ‘There is a way out of every rut!’ Life can never bring you to a place where God cannot bring you out of.

In the bible, Lazarus was dead and stuck in the grave for four days before Jesus showed up and called him back to life. The bones in the valley of Dry Bones were already very dried, scattered and separated from their ‘partners’ before Ezekiel prophesied life back into them. From where you are standing right now, it may seem like all hope is lost as regards getting to your preferred destination in life. But, your case couldn’t be more hopeless like the ones mentioned above; so, your case is also redeemable. You are not stuck! Many people you see shining today, were once stuck in a rut too, but they came out!

If people realize that there is always a way out of every rut/pit/trap, rather than buy into the devil’s lies that they are stuck forever, the suicide rate in the world will come to an all-time low. Research shows that many people commit suicide on issues that could have been resolved in a short while if only they had lived.

Like many of us, the prodigal son in our passage had a goal for his life (financial freedom); after he collected his share of his inheritance from his father, he embarked on a journey to fulfill that goal. After a while, he realized he wasn’t where he prayed, planned, desired to be – he was penniless and stuck in a strange land with nobody to help him out. Then, he began a process of self-appraisal, which brought redemption to his situation. Everything turned around for him, when he sat down to take stock and asked some tough questions. In life, “Everything turns only when you turn.”

In the same way, this week on #Inspired2Go, we will be asking ourselves some questions that will move us from the place of unmet goals or dissatisfaction to our desired destination.

PRAYER POINTS
+ Pray that as you embark on a journey of self-appraisal, you will access the requisite knowledge and wisdom to take you from a place of dissatisfaction to your desired destination.

+ Ask that the Spirit of Patience resident within you, will gain ascendency over any rash decision you may be tempted to take because you feel dissatisfied with your life at this point in time.
