This is what the Lord says: “As when juice is still found in a cluster of grapes and people say, ‘Don’t destroy it, there is still a blessing in it,’ so will I do in behalf of my servants; I will not destroy them all. Isaiah 65:8 (NIV)
REFERENCE
It is possible to still get fresh juice from a vine (cluster) of grapes that look like they are all rotten and should be destroyed. Knowing the likelihood of this happening, God here decided not to destroy the vine of grapes because there was still a blessing in it.
In the same vein, good things can still happen in your life regardless of how unpleasant your situation may currently look like. It could be that you lost your job, a loved one, an important relationship, or things just don’t seem to be adding up for you as it were, so you think all hope is lost, or your situation is beyond repair. But, let this scripture be an encouragement to you today that God isn’t done with you yet; you are still pregnant with so much for the future. Yes, a blessing can still come out of your life; don’t see yourself as a wreck, neither give up on yourself.
When His detractors came to arrest Jesus for His crucifixion, they found Him with His disciples, but He told them to let His disciples go, because He knew that if the disciples should die with Him, it would sabotage the preaching of the Gospel to the entire world. So, it was necessary for them to be alive because they still had a purpose to fulfill on earth. When Jesus made the statement about letting His disciples go, He showed His affectionate concern for them; and also revealed that He didn’t want any harm to come to them; so, He voluntarily gave Himself up to be crucified in order for them to live (John 18:1-9). In essence, Jesus told His abductors, “Don’t destroy these vines (disciples), for there is a blessing (ministry and global impact) in them.”
God’s desire for you is that no harm comes to you; that you will live to accomplish His assignments concerning your life. Be assured of His love and protection; it will be a great loss to Him if He loses you. Therefore, you are alive today because God still sees something in you that would bless your generation and generations to come. You are still here because you have an important role to fulfill in God’s scheme on earth. There is an unfinished business you have to take care of; thus, giving up on yourself would be unprofitable for God and for your world. Stay positive, THERE IS A BLESSING IN YOU!
