“He shall deliver you in six troubles, yes; in seven no evil shall touch you.” – Job 5:19
REFERENCE:
God is a very present help in trouble. That is, in trouble, He is with you to deliver you. In our text, Eliphaz said about God, “He will deliver you in six, and indeed, in seven troubles.” No matter the kind or size of the trouble you find yourself in, you are assured of God’s deliverance. There is nothing that will confront you in this life that God cannot confront, there is no trial that comes your way that He cannot make a way out of, whether six or seven of them. If God enters fire with you, be assured that you will not burn.
Eliphaz listed the different categories of troubles from which God delivers. We will look at some of them today and finish them tomorrow:
In Famine: In times of scarcity and want, when men are broke and cast down, there will be a lifting up for you. No matter how tough things get around you, you will not partake. God will be your eternal source/supply. He will supply your need according to His riches in glory.
In War: In times of enemy invasion or attacks, God promises to keep you safe. He will be your eternal refuge and hiding place. No weapon of the enemy shall prevail against you. No family crisis, diabolical attacks from evil persons in the village, office, or business e.t.c., will succeed against you.
Hidden From the Scourge Of The Tongue: It is remarkable what damage men cause with the tongue – curses, insults, enchantments, e.tc. No harmful decree of men’s tongues shall harm you. “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel.” God will hide you in His secret place and under the shadow of His wings. FEAR NOT!
You shall laugh at destruction: No matter what is happening around you, you will not lose your laughter. The sound of rejoicing will always be in your home, and the joy of the Lord shall be your strength. The devil will not see your tears, for your God will come through before the situation gets out of hand. Just as God made a clear distinction between Egypt and Israel, He will set you apart for good in times of common calamity! – you will be exempted, in Jesus’ name.
How reassuring to know that God has angels posted on any side satan may attempt to attack you. You have a comprehensive (all-around) insurance cover in the blood of Jesus – Hallelujah!
