“…The waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord…And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.” ~ Joshua 4:7
REFERENCE:
We are at a transition point. In a few hours, we will be in a new year; a noble thing to do is to raise a memorial to God on such a special day. God’s grace has kept you for 365 days, and you are about to embark on a journey for another 365 days. Pause today, and reflect on the outgoing year, so you can do something that connotes a memorial – a thanksgiving to God.
Israel was about to enter Canaan after 40 years in the wilderness. It was 40 years of troubles, trials, tests, plagues, uprisings, and deaths. However, the manifested glory of God was also with them; they experienced supernatural provision of water, bread, and meat. They experienced divine health and healing from venomous snakes. It was an eventful season of their history, but they were on the verge of God’s promise of a new and better beginning.
River Jordan separated Israel from her promise; it was the boundary between the old and the new. When they got there, God promised them the river would part so they could cross on dry ground. However, 12 elders should take 12 stones and place them in the river where the feet of the priests touched when the waters parted. It was to be a national reminder that God preserved them through the desert and brought them into the Promised Land.
As you and your family cross over into 2023 tonight, ponder on the experiences God brought you through in 2022. Think of the things He delivered you from, the blessings, provisions, favor, answered prayers, etc. Take your ‘twelve stones’ and set a memorial unto God today. Give God thanks for the last 12 months and speak prophetically into the coming 12 months.
A memorial is something tangible; a token, plaque, or monument. Do not enter the coming year casually; raise a memorial unto God. Do something significant; prepare and give an offering in your church to support God’s work or His ministers. You can record what God did for you in the year in a jotter, testify before the saints, or send gifts to those in spiritual authority over you. Whatever you do, do it with the understanding that it is thanksgiving for 2022 and a prophecy for the coming year. Let it be a voice telling future generations what God did for you in 2022.

+ I prophesy that the coming year will be a good year flowing with milk and honey for me. It will be a year of plenty, wealth, abundance, spiritual and material well-being, and joy.

There is so much to be thankful for. In 2022, His presence remained with me and the Holy Spirit led me everyday.
Everyday I experienced His provision and protection.
Everytime I had the privilege to minister, He gave a word.
My family (both nuclear and external) are all over this planet, and God has kept everyone. The same number that crossed into 2022 will cross over to 2023.
