RECLAIM AUTHORITY

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” ~ Luke 10:19

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2023. May it be a year of great victories for you. God has a crown of authority for you in 2023. He wants you to take your throne, so you will not go through this year being at the mercy of circumstances, satanic manipulations, and man’s wickedness.

God made you to rule, dominate, and have authority as His agent on earth. Sadly, many believers have abdicated their thrones and now live as servants, serving those who should serve them. This is a misnomer. Many are consistently harassed by oppressive spirits, fear, sickness, failure, etc., but in 2023, this must change – power must change hands. You were born again not to be victims again or suffer again; you were born again to reign and rule again.

Authority is the power or right to influence others, give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience. In our text, Jesus gave the disciples authority over unclean spirits – authority to:

i. Command and subdue demons.

ii. Have immunity from all the wickedness of the devil.

iii. Exercise free choice so you can decide the outcomes you want in every sphere of your life.

God has made us kings and priests, a royal priesthood. The kingly dimension of our two-fold mandate is the place of authority. God wants you to reign as a king in all spheres of life. Lower powers are subject to a king, and he enjoys certain immunities. When you take your throne and begin to reign as a king, some problems will not come to you. A traffic warden has authority from the state. By raising his hand, big trailers come to a halt. If you find yourself in situations where the devil is coming against you, stand your ground and resist him; he will flee.

As you enter 2023, take your life of victory in Christ to the marketplace. Superimpose your spiritual authority over all your affairs, and certain things will submit to you. Decide to run your life from the spiritual. Do away with the victim’s mentality. You are not to be pitied but envied. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. If God is for you, who can be against you? God wants your spiritual weight, capacity, influence, and commanding power to increase.

Tomorrow, we will see some steps to reclaiming authority.

PRAYERS:

+ Anything or anyone that has taken/stolen your crown and scepter of authority by an act of wickedness, meets with God’s judgment now, in Jesus’ name.

+ Whatever you lost to the victim’s mentality is restored now. Whatever you were cheated out of is coming back to you. Demand full restoration.

+ Isaiah 22:20-23. May God deliver to you the key to open the door to your next level in life.
