“…in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord.” – I Kings 6:1
REFERENCE:
A new year has begun; begin things you have always wanted to do. God is Alpha and Omega; hence, the confidence we have when we dare to begin to act on our dreams as children of God. If we begin to build the things we feel led by God to build, He will help us finish it. The young King Solomon began to build a temple for God, a magnificent project he finished.
It is a great feeling to begin something you have always dreamt of. Beginnings are pleasing to God because they speak of faith and trust in God. When you begin anything, it shows your readiness to take a journey into the unknown. It is a willingness to act despite the fear of failure or the nagging thoughts of what if it does not turn out the way I hope it will.
Beginning anything says you are tired of the status quo or your present level and desire to move to a higher level. It communicates that you have seen the need to upgrade to a better version or build something that presently does not exist. When Solomon built, he ended an old order of worshipping in tents. He gave God an identity in Israel, made things never seen anywhere before, and built for legacy – the project was one of the wonders of the ancient world.
You may have begun to build things that did not turn out well: businesses, capacity in specific fields, projects, relationships, or investments, and are weary of beginning again. Forget what went wrong at first, and begin again. It is possible to be discouraged when your plans don’t work out as expected, so God says, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing…” Isaiah 43:18&19.
This year is another opportunity to begin what you have always said you would; God will help you to finish it. There is no telling what you can achieve or become if you begin for the first time or the second time around. No matter how small the beginning is, “Do not despise the days of small beginnings.” Solomon began to build: perhaps, not with all he needed but with what was available. However, resources came during the project, and Solomon finished it.

PRAYERS:
+ Commit whatever you will begin this season into the hands of God and ask for His direction
+ If you have circled the ‘mountain of beginning things’, but have not seen them yield positive results. Declare boldly, “Affliction will not arise again in my life!”
+ By faith, thank God for taking whatever you begin henceforth from glory to glory.
Everything I’ve been building experiences accelerated progress from now on by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Whatever I begin to build henceforth goes from glory to glorious completion in Jesus’ name 🙏🏽
