“But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.” ~ Exodus 6:12
REFERENCE:
Life is full of sudden turns, which are usually for the worse. Satan manipulates life’s events to hurt God’s elect. Israel flourished in Egypt and was treated kindly because of Joseph’s impact on their nation. However, events turned, and a new king came to the throne. He ordered them to be afflicted because he felt threatened by their size, but Israel multiplied as they did that.
The Pharaoh did not foresee what his policy of domination against the Israelites would produce. He intended to reduce their numbers, cut their influence, subjugate, and deprive them of fundamental rights. I imagine that he formulated a policy that changed the immigration status of the Jews, revoked their work permit, confiscated their properties, limited their rights to own real estate, and condemned them to slavery. However, all his policies were counterproductive.
To the shock of Pharaoh and his ruling executive council, the more they afflicted Israel, the more they multiplied and grew. Like we say in Nigeria, “The Math didn’t Math.” How could people prosper in adversity? How could trouble make them flourish? How could they multiply despite all done to demoralize them? It was the grace of God upon, and covenant with, the Israelites that was working for them. Balaam said, “How can I curse whom God has blessed?”
Child of God, you have the blessing of God upon you. You may be in the Egypt of affliction but know that God is with you and has not forgotten you. You will yet flourish in the land of your affliction. The present troubles you face are working a weight of glory for you. No policy of Pharaoh or power of hell will pluck you out of God’s caring hands. He will bless and enlarge you despite what you lack or are going through. Let satan throw his best shot; it will turn for good.
Pharaoh failed to see that Jesus was to come through Israel, so they were indestructible. You have a destiny appointment to keep with God. There are lives you are to touch or feed, children to birth and nurse, a spouse to love and be loved by, projects to start, countries to visit, people to employ, etc. What you are going through won’t stop you from getting to where you are going. You will end up multiplied, though afflicted.

PRAYER:
+ Lord, deliver me from the spirit of Pharoah that envies my progress and works to stop it.
+ May no power of hell or scheme of man interfere with or interrupt my appointment with destiny.
+ Let every painful experience around me turn around for my growth and multiplication.
Hallelujah! I multiply regardless of what I am going through. It ends in praise!
I have been instructed to be fruitful and multiply, a dominion Mandate by my creator. It was an unconditional order.
Good or bad, I align with my God given Mandate.
