Understanding value does not come to some people naturally. You can do your best in your work, dressing, speaking, cooking, painting, singing, or leading, but they will take no notice of it and go on as though you did nothing. People like this are so self-consumed that they do not take note of others, cannot appreciate beauty or effort, or don’t care.
A pig does not understand the value of pearls, so if you give it one, it will take it to the mud. In the same way, do not invest valuable things in people who will not appreciate them. This is true in business, relationships, ministry, etc. If you sell high-end luxury brands, you may not break even if your shop location is where the people’s basic need is feeding. Your product, as good as it is, is of no value to them because of their economy and taste.
In the same way, if you sell cheap brands but your shop location is in a high-income area, the residents will be cautious of shopping at your store because what you are offering is beneath their status. Your sales will be low, and the high cost of rent will cause your business to close down. Things of great value should be given to those who considerably understand value.
Some relationships are headed nowhere near marriage because one party does not see the value in the other; they don’t consider them to be all that. That relationship will have issues. No matter how eligible a single person is, until they meet the person who values them, marriage may yet be delayed. Refrain from wasting your time casting pearls before swine. ‘Change your market.’
May God give you the wisdom to recognize and avoid ‘swine who do not value your ‘pearls.’ From today, let your steps be ordered into the company of those who understand the value you bear, who seek and pray for what you carry, who are ready to buy into your idea, pay for your gifts and skills, dance to your music, and whom when they see you, will say, “This is the person I have been waiting for, let us get married, buy from them, or hire them,” in Jesus’ name.
