“Twelve lions stood there, one on each side of the six steps; nothing like this had been made for any other kingdom.” ~ I Kings 10:20
REFERENCE:
We live in a world shaped by various innovations—the internet, social media, mobile phones, artificial intelligence, etc. The world has become accustomed to innovations, and the future belongs to innovators. People are constantly pushing the limits and discovering new things. To be relevant in the modern world, you need the grace for innovation.
King Solomon was a man of great wisdom and innovation. When he built God’s temple and palace, he added features that were the first of their kind. These drew the world’s attention and brought people from all over the world to see him. Innovation attracts; it turns you into an enigma and a model for others. Innovation is why Solomon did nothing like any man ever did.
Just as innovation means introducing something new, as Solomon did, it also means changing something established by introducing new methods, ideas, or products. “There is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding” (Job 32:8). Solomon was inspired by the Holy Spirit, whom you have in you. So, engage the presence of the Holy Spirit in you for innovation; when you pray, tell Him to inspire you with ideas that will change the world.
You don’t have to enter a lab to invent a device; innovation is an every day and everywhere need. You can introduce innovation in your work, business, etc. You can rearrange the display in your shop, redesign your business logo, introduce an excellent package for your product, or introduce another service or product to what you presently do. Innovation is fluid and continuous.
God made you creative and innovative in His image. You have that spark of genius and innovation; tap into it. Engage your mind, think out of the box, reappraise your strategies often, brainstorm ideas with others, and get exposed by reading, listening, and watching what others are doing so your ideas stay relevant. Learn to question the status quo and often ask yourself, how else or how better can I do this? That’s innovation.
