THE BENEFITS OF PSALM 105

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.” ~ Psalm 103:2-3

Psalm 103:1-5

David’s thankfulness to God in this Psalm is evidence that God did and still does the benefits he was grateful for. That means we can supplicate heaven for the same benefits to become tangible in our lives and experiences. We will hence appropriate the blessings of Psalm 105 by making declarative prayers, insisting by faith that they should be manifested in us.

a.     The benefit of forgiveness and mercy: Father, I come in repentance before You. Whatever displeases You in my life, let Your mercy cover it. Where my iniquities have stopped the answers to my prayers, I appropriate the provision for mercy by the blood of Jesus.

b.     The benefit of healing: I claim every provision made for my healing and health through the blood of Jesus Christ. I pronounce complete health over every organ of my being. Let my hormones, nervous, reproductive, digestive, etc., function optimally. I refuse diseases or infirmities in my body. By His stripes, I am healed.

c.     The benefit of protection and escapes: I am redeemed from every trap the enemy sets for my ruin. Through the help of God, I shall not suffer misfortune and will escape every evil machination of the devil. Nothing designed for my demise will prosper. I declare that I am redeemed from destruction at home and abroad.

d.     The benefit of loving kindness and tender mercies (supernatural favor). Lord, let me experience Your kindness, love and demonstrated goodness. I am surrounded with favor like a shield. Let Your crown of favor rest on my head. Favor will speak for me wherever I turn. It is my turn for favor, blessings, goodness, promotion, blessings, help, etc.

e.     The benefit of satisfaction with good things: Lord, henceforth, I will live a satisfied life. I will be satisfied with a good and healthy life, a happy marriage, good children, peace of mind, financial well-being, career growth, etc. I will be satisfied with favor and a long life. There shall be nothing missing, nothing lacking, and nothing broken in my life and family.

f.      The benefit of renewed youth: Lord, renew my youth like the eagle’s. Add life to my years and years to my life. As I progress in years, I will increase in beauty, health, strength, wisdom, etc. Like Moses, I will live a healthy life for many years. I will experience the divine renewal of my health and youth. Let the life of God flow through me and restore my vitality.

Make this your prayer this season and apply it to your unique experiences as God gives you ‘light.’ May you, like David, have reasons to say, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits,” in Jesus’ name.
