I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

REFERENCE
John 15:5-8

The root of something is its base, its anchor and the source from which it derives its essence and life. Everything physical or visible we see has an unseen root or substructure that sustains it. The durability, health, strength, sustenance and survival of anything we see visibly, is dependent on its roots (the invisible).

There will be no limit to your rising in life if you can understand your root in God, because your new birth connects you to this supernatural root. Therefore, whatever God is worth has become your worth. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches – same life, same nature. Jesus knew His roots and His connection and the privileges of that connection – that was the secret behind His strength and exploits. Daniel 11:32b tells us that “those who know their God will be strong and carry out great exploits.”

To fully recognize who you have become as a result of being rooted in God, you need a revelation of who God is through intimate fellowship with His Word. Conception naturally follows intimacy, so spending time with the Word would birth illumination (revelation) in you.

As long as you are united with your roots, you remain fruitful and you are unbeatable in the battles of life, you become a devil tormentor and until your roots can be destroyed, you remain indestructible! Remember, as a child of God, you are deeply rooted in Christ. No adverse winds can knock you down, and your roots are sure to produce fruits.
