And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath… – Deuteronomy 28:13

We often read, in God’s word, about the heroic deeds of men like us who went from victory to victory and shook their generations by mighty acts; but all these sometimes seem exaggerated to us. However, scriptures show us that God is willing to do ‘greater works’ than these through us and that we are fashioned to be victors. Sometimes however, our minds hesitate to believe, because we are constantly reminded of our failures and fallings, so we look at scriptures like the one in focus today and wonder, “Can this be my reality?”

Let me today deal with such feelings of ‘insignificance’ by letting you know that God designed you to live a victorious life – it’s in your new birth, it’s your spiritual family heritage. But more importantly, is that you have a divine warrant (permit, license, authorization) to win in life based on the infallible word of God. How & why?

Firstly, God never planned a day of defeat for you – NO! He is not a wicked Father. He did not plan for you to always beg, consistently be without, lag behind in life, struggle to survive, or to be under Satan’s oppression. God ‘wired’ you to succeed – your genetic coding is for success;” that is why your makeup naturally abhors failure; you avoid discussing it, and even children tend to hide their score cards when they know they failed in school.

In the same way, people like success stories – we display certificates of achievements in our offices; we show & tell our accomplishments on social media, we show off with a child that performs well in school, etc. In the same way, God is also pleased when He sees us win in life because we are His handiwork created in His image. He said about Job, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth…?” (Job 1:8)

Secondly, after God made man, He BLESSED man.
