And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. – Mark 8:31
REFERENCE
Mark 8:27-33
In today’s passage, we see that Jesus was as persuaded about His resurrection as He was of His rejection by His people; His persecution by the religious authority, and His execution by the governing authority. He said these things must happen (i.e. they are unavoidable), and though the bad must first take place, consequently, the good must necessarily and assuredly as definite as the occurrence of the bad also take place.
God is saying to you that with the same vehemence and determination with which bad things seem to come to you, good also has an appointment that it will keep with you. Let there be persecution, rejection and execution – there definitely will also be a resurrection for you; let there be delays – surely your expectations shall come, and that speedily!
There is no venom of hell life has presented to you that heaven has no antivenom for; and not just to cure the venom, but to inject new health and new life into you, that the free gift may be much bigger than the offense. Meaning, the breakthroughs and blessings you will access as a result of your “resurrection,” will wipe away the sad experiences that came with the suffering. (Romans 5:15).
