“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” ~ Jeremiah 29:12
REFERENCE:
Jeremiah 29:12-14
A plan is a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something. In contrast, a building plan is a drawing or diagram made to show the layout of a building and the arrangement of the spaces. As the new year rolls around, remember that God has a specific plan or pattern for your life; your goal will be to build according to plan. Do not enter the year casually or live through the year randomly.
Tailors who make bespoke attires, as opposed to mass-produced clothes, make them fit the body statistics of specific clients. The tailor considers the unique taste and fit of the client. Likewise, a bespoke divine plan is fitted for you this year; you can’t run with someone else’s plan because it won’t fit. Besides, the will of God is not ‘one size fits all.’ It is custom-made to fit you.
Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”God conceals everything He has for you in the coming year, and you can only access it by diligently seeking. It will remain a secret until you are willing to pay the price of waiting on God for access. God says, “Come to Me, and I will show you things to come.”
Take time off your busy schedule, shut down distractions (TV, phones, social media, etc.), and retreat to a quiet place with an open heart to wait on the Lord in prayer & fasting. He will give you directions and instructions for the coming year. It is a time to ask God to reveal His plan and timing so you can ‘build according to plan.’ Use the time to pray, appraise, and review your life. Get a pen and paper and gear up to think, plan, and make decisions for your success.
Those who wait on the Lord shall find strength to run in the coming year. They will inch closer to the will of God in all facets of their lives. The aroma of victory will surround them because they will build according to plan. God will give you secrets and foresight to navigate the year according to divine plan, and you will enjoy ‘speed.’ “To know the will of God for your life is the greatest knowledge, and to do the will of God is the greatest achievement.”
