“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.” ~ Psalm 24:7
REFERENCE:
In the Bible, gates represent seats of authority where the Council of States sits to formulate policies, make strategic decisions, and transact business. The courts were held at gates, and kings dispensed justice and decided matters there. When scripture says, ‘Gates of hell,’ it means a place where the satanic council sits to decide battle plans and schemes to do wickedness.
Spiritually, gates are places of power and control. Whoever possesses the gate controls the territory. A gate represents a method of granting or denying access. When a gate is shut against you, accessing what is behind the gate becomes difficult. We see in Joshua 6 that although Jericho belonged to Israel, its gates were securely shut up, denying Israel access to all God promised them. Joshua had to engage in a divine/spiritual battle plan to take that gate.
Just as a physical gate can impede progress, Satan can set up spiritual gates to obstruct progress in various areas of life. These gates can prevent a person from having babies, earning a degree, getting married, having financial breakthroughs, promotions, and ministry growth. The demonic princes that serve as gatekeepers over these gates must be unseated before you gain access.
Psalm 24 pictures gatekeepers denying a dignitary access to an experience he desired. The gatekeepers would not open the gates just because of his personality. They asked, “On what basis do you think you should access peace of mind, favor, promotions, etc.?” It took double insistence for them to yield, not to his crown, but to his office as commander of an organized army (hosts). It was his battle readiness that gave him access. You must battle to possess gates.
The power that dislodges and dispossesses satanic gatekeepers that man the gates of progress of their keys is generated by prayer. You cannot enter a strongman’s house to plunder his goods without first binding him. You must authoritatively announce to the gates you desire to enter, “Lift up your heads you gates of success, business, ministry progress, marital bliss, etc., for I, Daniel (affix your name), approach you with the Lord of hosts on my side.”

PRAYER:
+ Take the authoritative proclamation in Psalm 24:7 and boldly announce it to whatever gates stand before you. E.g., “Lift up your heads, O you gates (of employment, success in school, political appointment, business excellence, fruit of the womb, etc.)! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors (of fulfillment)! And (I wale and) the King of glory shall come in.”
