Therefore be imitators of God (copy and follow Him and follow His example), as well-beloved children (imitate their father). – Ephesians 5:1 (AMP).
We should learn to respond to situations the same way Jesus would, He is our Father (i.e. God) and our lifestyle has to show we are His children and not bastards. Also we should allow the very life of God in us through The Holy Spirit flow out unrestrained.
When we are faced with life’s circumstances, the question on our hearts should be, ‘how will the Spirit of God want us to respond?’ of course the Spirit will want us to kill any form of carnal inclinations in us but rather let His fruits (Love, Joy, Peace Gentleness, Kindness, Patience, Self-control etc) already resident in us flow from us.
When we imitate ‘Daddy,’ we will end up being like Him and this is beneficial to the kingdom of God, because our godly lives will become the lenses through which the unsaved will come to see and know Him.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
