“Be still, and know that I am God…” ~ Psalm 46:10
REFERENCE:
Trusting in God’s plan and provision can be tough in times of uncertainty. But trying times come to test and refine our faith. The secret to finding strength in uncertain times is relying on God’s faithfulness and the assurance we have when we place our trust in Him. World events may scare us, but our anchor remains secure in His unchanging love and faithfulness.
God said, “Be still, and know that I am God.” It is God’s call to us in times of uncertainty. He wants us to have quiet confidence in Him and allow Him to be God. We can trust Him with our fears and worries when the oceans roar, the mountains shake, and trouble arises around us.
God is a constant source of peace and stability, providing refuge amid life’s storms. Let us find comfort in the assurance that He is in control and that His plans for our lives are good.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). To trust God, you must let go of your need to be in control and embrace His love and authority. He will guide and give clarity to those who let Him. No matter the uncertainties, He will lead you to green pastures.
One Hymn says, “When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace.” Trials can make you lose focus on God. Rather, be still. Reflect on God’s faithfulness and recall when He provided, protected, and carried you through previous trials. He is the same God, faithful and true. Just as He has proven Himself in the past, He will do so now. Stop being afraid or agitated by everything the devil throws at you; he wants you to lose your gaze on God. Be still.
No matter the shaking in the world, be still and anchor your faith in God. He is our fortress, rock, and deliverer. If you look away from all distractions to Him, you will find peace, guidance, and strength. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” ~ Isaiah 41:10.
