“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” ~ Isaiah 59:2

Having understood the legal implications of prayers, as you approach the bar of heaven, there are specific provisions in the law, the Word of God, that you can stand on, appropriate, or plead as you confront the adversary, satan, in court. These provisions are similar to those in most human courts, which I believe are a model of the heavenly one without any corruption.
In the coming days, we will look at these legal provisions so that you can pray intelligently and equip you to present a strong and compelling case before God to be vindicated, discharged, and acquitted of every legal claim of satan. Follow me:
a. Come to Equity with Clean Hands: In Zechariah 3:1-5, the only way Joshua could win the case against satan was for his filthy garments to be removed and replaced with clean ones. Sin has a way of putting a wedge between us and God in prayers; it makes Him hide His face and refuse to hear us. To get an audience with God, you must understand your righteousness in Christ and refrain from soiling your hands with sin – sin gives satan grounds for accusation, robs you of confidence in prayers, and makes cowards of men. Keep clean hands. “Who may ascend the hill of God or stand in His holy place?” Psalm 24:3-4.
b. Address Faulty Foundations: Foundations represent the grounds (locus standi) you stand on to appeal for a sentence of peace; if they are faulty, they become pieces of evidence that satan holds up against you. Psalm 11:3 says, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Satan likes to visit foundational issues in our lives to condemn us before God: a sin or error of the past, abused as a child, initiated into a family cult, built something on lies (career, marriage, business, ministry, etc.). Satan will keep tugging at these in court.
Be mindful of bringing repentance before God over faulty foundations in marriage, money, ministry, sins not repented from, frosty relationships with your in-laws, unforgiveness, etc. Taking advantage of this legal provision of repentance constitutes almost 70% of legal prayers.
