“So then it is not of him who will, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” ~ Romans 9:16
REFERENCE:
Suppose a man’s progress in life directly results from his efforts. In that case, many who engage in very exerting and strenuous work should be the most successful. While it is good to work hard and strive for excellence in all we do, it takes the blessings of God for a man to be successful in life. Paul says success doesn’t just come by willing it or running swiftly; it is a product of God’s mercy. Mercy is another name for divine intervention; may that mercy locate and transform you this season.
Expect God’s mercy and divine interventions in these areas of your life:
1. Total Makeover (I Chronicles 4:9-10): Jabez was born in pain and lived a life characterized by misfortune, but he prayed to God and changed his life. This month, I decree that God will improve your life’s story and give you a total makeover. When God got involved in Jabez’s life, the condition of birth no longer mattered; God transformed him.
2. Freedom from Debt (II Kings 4:1-4): This widow was on the verge of having her sons taken as collateral for her loan. Elisha gave her a strategy that leveraged her network and meager resources; she paid her debt and became an ‘oil’ mogul. Expect God to intervene in that debt situation. He will show you what to do and provide a breakthrough for you.
3. Provision (Genesis 21:16-19): Hagar and her son were about to die of thirst in the desert; they had finished their provender and water, and it seemed death was next. Suddenly, God opened her eyes, and she saw a water well in the desert. No matter how hard things get in the nation, God will dig wells for you in the desert and show you how to locate them.
4. Business Breakthrough (Luke 5:4-6): Peter was frustrated in business; he tried all He knew, but nothing worked. At the point of giving up, Jesus told him to let his net down for a catch in the deep. Peter had a net-breaking catch and moved from foiling to financial freedom. May your business receive divine intervention for a dramatic turnaround in profits.
5. Employment (Matthew 20:6-7): The man in the text was left unemployed all day, perhaps because he lacked certain merits or was just ‘unlucky.’ The master (a type of Jesus) came and employed him late in the day and still gave him full pay. This month, divine intervention will secure a well-paying employment/appointment for you, in Jesus’ name. It’s not too late.
