Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Luke 10:19
REFERENCE
Luke 10:17-19
Man’s greatest enemy since the Garden of Eden is Satan. Adam and Eve handed over their dominion to him when they disobeyed God and fell for his trick to eat the forbidden fruit. Hence, he was empowered to STEAL (people’s joy, peace, health, dreams, etc.), KILL (businesses, purposes, relationships), and ultimately to DESTROY lives. Nevertheless, Jesus came, took the punishment for man’s sin, paid the price for man’s redemption and gave man victory over the tormentor – Satan. The biggest thing Jesus did for mankind was defeat Satan.
Therefore, your acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and Savior, gave you deliverance from Satan’s dominion; he has no legal right to reign over you again, and you are now the absolute master over his forces. You can trample over them without being hurt. Also, you are now restored to your former place of authority and dominion as was the mandate from the beginning (Genesis 1:26-28). You can now hold sway over every situation in life by the status of your new order of life and existence.
Double jeopardy is a procedural defense that prevents an accused person from being tried again on the same (or similar) charges and on the same facts, following a valid acquittal or conviction. It is legally wrong in society for an offender to be prosecuted and punished twice for a particular crime he/she committed. Similarly, Christ paid in full for your redemption so you can be free from every accusation of Satan. So, it is legally wrong for Satan to exact upon you…he doesn’t have the right to steal, kill or destroy your life.
The text reveals that Jesus has already given you authority over the power of the enemy. So, it is your duty to vehemently resist the plan of Satan from coming to pass in your life. You therefore must stand boldly and exercise your authority over any satanic agenda in your life. Jesus speaking in Matthew 18:18 said, “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” The ball is in your court to allow and disallow what you desire in your life, maximize its use!

CONFESSION
By the authority given to me in Christ Jesus, I come against Satan’s agenda to steal, kill, or destroy in my life. I bind the enemy from exacting upon anything connected to me; and refuse to pay doubly for what Christ already paid on my behalf. I am delivered from Satan and I walk in my dominion in Jesus’ name.
