When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person – Job22:29
One thing Satan hopes to achieve with all the goings-on in society, the pandemic, famine, lack of opportunities, evil report, uncertainty, redundancies, slow business, closure of businesses, etc., is to get you to a point of hopelessness; and more often than not, quite a number of people get to that point. From then on, the way they talk changes and negativity begins to pour out from their mouths.
The enemy has come to identify this as his most potent weapon i.e. negative words pronounced by believers; because he realizes that he cannot curse whom God has blessed. And we see this play out in the story of Balaam and the children of Israel, whom Balaam tried several times to curse, but could not, because God had blessed them.
Therefore, Satan will like for you to use your mouth to affirm, seal and confirm the negativity of your situation, knowing that a man will have what he continually says. However, our passage from Job shows us a different and effective approach to handling situations – using your mouth to determine what you want to see, not what presently is. It says, “You shall declare a thing, and it shall be established for you.”
So, the thing that matters most when circumstances present negativity to you is what you say in response. When your bank account says you do not have enough money to pay your bills, the landlord says your rent is overdue, the doctor says you do not have enough health to stay alive, would you be humble enough to declare what the Word of God says? It takes humility to submit and agree with the Word. Therefore, as a child of God, get into the Word and get a promise that speaks to your circumstance and turn it into your own words. Don’t talk your situation, it leads to stagnation; instead, talk your revelation; it is the key to elevation.
Knowing this truth, and understanding Satan’s end game, the next time you hear people say, ‘there is a casting down, times are tough,’ you open your mouth wide and declare, “Exaltation will come!” And, you will be exalted above the circumstance, because you will have what you say!
By faith, declare that exaltation will come for you in spite of the circumstances around you; and begin to speak what you want to see established in your life.
