When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” – Luke 5:4
REFERENCE
Luke 5:1-10
God’s instructions can sometimes ignore the facts of your situation. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in that situation, a Word from God can change it in an instant.
Peter heard a specific instruction from Jesus to launch out, and HE ACTED based on that Word. When Jesus told Peter to launch out into the deep, it must have been hard for him to try again because this was at a point where he had tried all he knew to no avail. His experience as a highly skilled fisherman must have been called to question too; being that Jesus who asked him to try again knew little or nothing about fishing. A couple just left my office, who had been rejected a number of times for something they desired, since 2007. They were on the verge of giving up when they heard a message where I said “Try again!” They launched out in faith and got that same miracle in just 22 days.
Although Peter toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Jesus’ instruction, he LAUNCHED OUT!
Like Peter, you have to learn to listen and carry out God’s instruction in your life. However, God’s instruction will not come until you have spent quality time with the Word. The place of devotion is vital to hearing from God. Have you sought God’s face for what He might be saying concerning your situation? What has God told you to do that you haven’t yet done? Between frustration and fulfillment, there is always an act of obedience.
Never allow a frustrating situation make you immobile. Peter never allowed his past experience weaken his hands to try again. He took a risk to launch out at Jesus’ instruction, and that turned the tide around for his breakthrough.
Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land.” Follow God’s instruction regardless of what it may be. Get to that “Nevertheless” moment with God’s instructions, and you will ‘NEVER be THE LESS’ for it.

PRAYERS
+ O Lord, show me what ‘little’ adjustment I will need to make – that first step I need to take, the deliberate push needed to overcome my immobility. Give me the courage to try again where I have once failed and given up. Where my hands are weak and knees trembling, strengthen me.
+ May my ears be open and my eyes attentive to the divine instruction and ideas that will move me from frustration to fulfillment. May I see it and hear it from the word, WHEN I SEE IT, GIVE ME THE FAITH TO OBEY.
At thy word O Lord will I obey, cause Your word is sure to direct and guide me.
You said O Lord that Your thought and plans for me are good and not of evil I lean on You my Saviour, for every step I take or make.
Amen (so be it).
