God’s heart for His kingdom on earth is that it grows. Any right-thinking entrepreneur starts a venture with the mindset of growth. The desire to grow is God’s nature in us; that is how He ‘wired’ us. After his creation, God commanded man to multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. The King in the parable was not satisfied with a half-filled wedding hall. So, he sent his servants to the streets to bring as many as they found. Why? So that the big hall will be filled with guests.

God likes it big! He created a big universe, billions of stars in the galaxy, mighty oceans, majestic mountains, and big animals like the blue whale which is as long as a basketball court and weighs as much as 2,667 men weighing 70kg each. He is a big God; He thinks big and does big and wondrous things. He wants His kingdom (His ways and influence) on earth to grow, and He wants you to play a part in making it so. Jesus said, “I will build My church…” He is always adding building blocks and the church today is larger than the church He left in Acts 1. (See Proverbs 14:28)

So, how can you play your part?

  1. Let God’s word and principles guide you in all you do. Run your business, family, relationships, and your life based on what the scripture says. Be a living Epistle.
  2. Demonstrate God’s love to those around you by acts of kindness, giving gifts, speaking words of affirmation, and extending a helping hand to the helpless, all in the name of the Lord.
  3. Pray that God’s kingdom will come in your neighborhood. Pray that people will experience the salvation of God and that the governing authorities will rule in the fear of God.
  4. Share the Gospel with people God brings you in contact with. Tell them that God loves them and has good plans for them. Invite them also to be part of your church fellowship.

You are an official of God’s kingdom sent to your street, community, city, or nation. Will you seek to expand God’s kingdom? Will you take responsibility for your neighborhood? Are you willing to commit to doing all you can to make His kingdom big? Remember, God likes it BIG!

+ Lord, I want to be an extension of Your kingdom in my world. Love through me, heal through me, encourage through me, bless through me and save many through me.
