Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from the slave, though he is the master of all. – Galatians 4:1

Galatians 4:1-9
An heir is someone who has the legal right to inherit the properties of another at their demise. On the other hand, a child is a minor who needs guardians and teachers for daily direction. This means a child is immature and is incapable of handling certain responsibilities. Therefore, an heir who is still a child cannot lay claim to his inheritance until he gets to a certain level of maturity.
Every believer who has accepted Christ is an heir of God, which means the vast promises of God belongs to them but as long as the believer remains a baby in their spiritual walk, they won’t experience all of God. The best they can have is crumbs that fall from the Master’s table. Spiritual babies are known to be held bound by satan and his works; they are also easy prey to destructive doctrines, which they gladly accept because they do not know any better.
However, when the believer comes of age, they will qualify to receive their inheritance.
