“But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.” ~ Hebrews 6:9
REFERENCE:
Today, we conclude our discourse on God’s prophetic word to us as we enter this new year: It gets better from here. The writer of Hebrews spoke with great confidence when he said, “We are confident of better things concerning you…” He told his readers that things would be better and assured them with every fiber of faith in him that God would ensure it happened.
Looking back at Saul’s story, something happened during his encounter with Samuel that made his life better. As you spend time in God’s presence this year, I prophesy that everything about your life will be better; you will see a tangible improvement in every area of your life. Nothing in your life will remain as is. Regardless of your losses or setbacks, it gets better from here.
The book of Hebrews uses the word ‘better’ about 12 times. The writer reveals God’s nature in making all things better: He gave us a better way of salvation in Christ and made Him better than the angels. He gave us a better hope, better sacrifice, and a better covenant based on better promises. He speaks of a better priesthood than the Aaronic priesthood, a better country after death, and Jesus’ blood for our redemption that speaks better things than Abel’s blood.
There are better things for you in Christ Jesus; only abide in/with Him this year and get God involved in all your ways. When God gets into a situation, no matter how messy, frustrating, decayed, or imperfect it is, it gets better. There is no situation you find yourself in that is impossible with God (e.g., Peter’s fishing business, the prophets’ widow, and the widow of Zarephath).
You will step into the fullness of your potential. The delay is over; it gets better from here. The financial frustration is over; it gets better from here. Fruitless labor is over; it gets better from here. God will change your story and open a new page for you in 2024 so that you will not look like what you have been through, suffered, or lost. Your definition is not in your past failures. Keep your eyes on the coming good; it is your turn for a turnaround. It gets better from here.

PRAYER:
I declare over my life, and all that pertains to me, “It gets better from here.” I refuse the same old patterns of fruitless labors, betrayals, unmet expectations, and unanswered prayers. This year, I receive a sudden good break that will turn my life around for the better. I boldly declare that good things look good on me, and it is my turn for a turnaround, in Jesus’ name.
