Romans 8:18-22
Man was created and clothed with glory to rule as the leader of the world. However, he ‘fell’ and all of that changed – he was stripped of his glory and that affected other created things because God in His wisdom decided to ‘remove’ the glory of the created world so that there will still be a balance in the hierarchical order, although at a baser level of glory.
The creation was subjected to the fall, not willingly, but because of man’s sin. For, It is improper to have a perfect creation under an imperfect man as their head because it would have been impossible to govern, tame or dominate them.
Creation will have to wait for the time when man will be restored to his place of glory, in order for them to be released from the bondage of the fall and function at full capacity. Jesus’ coming, restored man back to that place of glory, so nothing stops man today from functioning as sons of God, and making their world a heaven on earth.
As we celebrate the men this weekend, every Christian man should realize that God made you the leader of your household/organization and endowed you with all you need to till, nurture and produce fruit in those under your sphere of influence.
Therefore, arise like the king you are, take your place in God and begin to wield your God-given authority. If you ‘fall’, like creation, those under your leadership will also ‘fall’, but when you operate in full capacity, they will blossom.
