“Those planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing…” ~ Psalm 92:13-14
REFERENCE:
Aging is a human phenomenon that places certain limitations on men, which God is not bound by. He is the ageless one, and 120 years are just to Him, like 120 days. For this reason, He does not place an age limit on when He can call and use a man for any assignment. That means you are not too old to start a business, course, marriage, or ministry. With God, it is not just possible; it is rest assured. His divine support and guidance are always available to you, regardless of your age or circumstances.
David said, “I was young, and now I am old; I have never seen the righteous forsaken…” Having observed the lives of those who came to the temple to worship for many years, he said, “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish and bear fruits in their old age.” To bear fruits in old age is not something God cannot do for you, but ‘are you planted in His house?’
Caleb started at eighty-five. Hear what he said: “…here I am this day, eighty-five years old. As yet, I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now, therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day.” Caleb petitioned to inherit the land God promised him as a young man. He was so strong that he was ready to go and fight for it.
I am speaking to someone who lives in regret because they missed many opportunities in their youth – perhaps because they lost their father or relocated because of a crisis and lost friends, certificates, and a chance to complete their education. God is comforting the person who was carefree in school and graduated with poor grades and now feels stagnated. God will give you another chance. Reclaim your destiny and dreams; you are not too old to start again.
You are not too old to start. Consider the resilience and strength of those who have gone before us. Sarah started nursing at 90, a testament to her unwavering determination. Moses led a nation at 120, showing that age is no barrier to leadership. Colonel Sanders started Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) at 65 and later became a billionaire, proving that success can come at any age. A former Kenyan Farmer, Kimani Marunge, enrolled in primary education at 83. He later spoke at a UN Summit in New York on the importance of free primary education. These individuals, despite their age, pursued their dreams and achieved great things. You can do the same. Your age does not define you; your determination and faith do.
