Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. – Psalms 33:1
REFERENCE
Psalm 33:1-9
As you continue your journey into the year, there is one ‘KEY’ God will want you to lay a hold of, come rain or shine, good or bad, hell or high water; and that key is “Praise.”
When you praise God, you magnify Him above all circumstances and show that you believe His report (Word) above the facts in your life – thereby honoring Him.
Praise in the mouth of a believer is a powerful weapon (a double edged sword), which releases the manifest presence of God into any situation (Psalm 22:3). It can turn every trouble into triumph, frustration into freedom and drought into abundance.
The devil knowing the power of praise, will always fire arrows of discouragement, depression, fear, worry, and anxiety at you, with the intention to keep you perpetually in a place of murmuring and complaining. But if you can outsmart him by praising God in all circumstances, you will stop him dead in his tracks.
Praise is a garment God wants you to always wear, because it looks good on you and it is beautiful in His sight. Also it activates your joy in Him which releases strength, and it is that strength that keeps you steadfast in Him. However, the choice to wear this garment is solely yours. If it was difficult to put on praise, God wouldn’t expect you to wear it!
