…who brought water for you out of the flinty rock; who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know… –Deuteronomy 8:15&16
REFERENCE
Deuteronomy 8:7-18
In spite of the obvious and undeniable miracles that God had worked for the children of Israel, Moses constantly warned/charged them not to forget the blessings of God in their lives, which means it is possible to forget. So, we see that thanksgiving is not so much about what God has done for you but about how much you can remember. Therefore, on this last day of our “Thanksgiving Series,” I charge you, like Moses, not to forget, but always remember the goodness of God in your life; so that thanksgiving will become your lifestyle.
Perhaps, you think nothing spectacular happened for you this year, so you feel like there is not enough reason to be thankful. But remember, how God has been sustaining your family of five with your meager income. You have not had a job for a while but, He supplies your needs, and gives you sound health so you don’t have to spend money unnecessarily on a sickness.
It was not by coincidence that you got a scholarship to school abroad, it is God – remember! As a student, you have found yourself excel in subjects other students consider very difficult – that’s water out of a rock! God has caused you to get discounts and good deals on your purchases and He gives you waivers. A family just told me how while they were on vacation in the UK, their son took ill and had to be admitted in a hospital. After treatment, they were given a bill of Sixteen Thousand pounds (£16,000), which is about Seven Million Naira. Somehow, that bill was waived for them completely. That is God at work! Friend, these are various ways that God supernaturally sustains His people.
Forget not the time you were in a hard place and couldn’t afford to pay your rent, God made water come out of that hard place for you when He sent that person who voluntarily gave you enough money to pay your rent, without having to ask. Also recall the ‘manna’ that fell for you, such as your fathers didn’t experience. By the grace of God, you’ve had unprecedented blessings in your life that no one in your family has ever experienced. You’ve accomplished things your fathers did not – that is the hand of God.
Albert Einstein said, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” The conclusion of the matter is this: “You don’t have any reason not to be thankful to God.”

TO DO
Reflect on every occasion that God supernaturally supplied your need this year, write it down, and lay it before Him or wave it to Him in gratitude as a memorial of your thanksgiving.
Indeed, if one can think of God’s goodness it will be easier to thank Him. Faithful God!
So many reasons to lift my hands
I have every reason to praise & thank God, the reasons are numerous so I’ll make thanksgiving a habit. …
In the past few days, I’ve really come to the understanding that gratitude and Thanksgiving are truly a function of how much you choose to remember. As I look back, it’s difficult not to see God’s hands in practically every area of my life. For me, EVERYTHING is a miracle! 🙌🏽🤩💃🏼
