The lazy man does not roast what he takes in hunting, But diligence is man’s precious possession. ~ Proverbs 12:27
REFERENCE
Proverbs 12:27
Today, we begin a mini series on an issue that is relevant to fulfilling our God-given purposes in life. Everyone has a purpose and mandate God placed on their lives (Genesis 1:28 confirms this). We all have a side of God that we should show to our world; and they come in form of hidden talents and hidden potentials that God has given us so we can live fulfilled and successful lives.
No one is ever at a position in life where they are totally disadvantaged; even blind Bartimaeus had a voice to cry out to Jesus for help. God will be unjust to create someone without putting in them the ability to succeed whatsoever.
However, some people’s gifts (i.e. the things they do) will make them known and bring them success while for others, their gifts may never be known. Our text, indirectly gives us a reason why one man will do well in their gift, where as another may not. It describes an hunter who obviously took something from hunting as “the lazy man?” Why is that so? How does that relate to us? Let’s find out tomorrow.
Have a TERRIFIC time in the things you do this TUESDAY!
