“And he said to him, ‘Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!'” ~ John 2:10
REFERENCE:
As the year winds down, I prophesy that it will end better than it started for you, in Jesus’ name. God’s plan is that the latter’s glory is greater than the former. It is what Jesus did at the wedding in Cana when He gave good wine, better than what they started the party with. It was so good that the MC remarked, “This is not what most men do; they start well but end worse than they started; they begin by impressing their guests, and can’t sustain it to the end.”
The wine Jesus provided was of the richest kind. The guests who left early missed out on the rich wine. When we give up on God or think we have seen the best He can do, we miss out on better and greater things that He still has in store. You have not seen God’s best for you yet. Do you know that if you quit years ago, you would not have seen the much He has done so far?
Wine had finished at the wedding, and shame was looming. It mattered to Mary, the mother of Jesus, that the family/couple should not be shamed; hence, she mentioned it to Jesus. Heaven is concerned that you do not end the year in shame or lose the little you had in January. God will see to it that you end better than you started; God will give you the excellent wine at last.
No good scriptwriter ends a movie on a sour note. The same is true of God; He is a God of happy endings. He saves the best and sweetest for the last. As the year winds down, Jesus will give you the best wine. You will see blessings and opportunities of such quality you didn’t see earlier in the year. God will show up for you, and you will see back-to-back goodness.
For Jesus to give that wine, He accelerated the wine-making process. He planted the vine, harvested and pressed it, and waited for it to ferment. This process takes years, but Jesus did it in just a moment. That is acceleration. For your year to end better than it started, God will compress time and accelerate events in your favor – accelerated relationships, jobs, promotions, projects, etc., so that you can say, “You have kept the ‘good wine’ until now.”
