“But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” ~ Mark 4:29
REFERENCE:
A seed can multiply and reproduce itself if planted in suitable soil. A seed speaks of perpetuity, the promise of an endless life. For example: If you have the seed of an apple and you plant it in a conducive soil, you will have apples for the rest of your life. This is the principle of the seed: when planted, it must reproduce after its kind.
This principle is true in both spiritual and physical things. It governs even the judicial system of man, the law of action and reaction, offense and consequence, etc. I believe that a seed is the only control you have over your tomorrow; it is the sole privilege God has given to man to have a say over his future. It may include a seed of prayer, money, kindness, a deed, service, etc.
Jesus’ parable explains how this law governs our lives in unnoticeable ways and how the universe is under divine instruction to ensure that every seed gets a harvest. The first thing we notice with the man in our parable is that he scattered seeds on the ground. Use every chance to sow seeds that look like the harvest you want. Upon sowing his seed, the man went about his normal activities. Rest in God, and do not be anxious when you sow your seeds.
How seed will turn to harvest, man did not know because God instructs the earth to take over the process and give matching results. God will ensure your harvest comes; trust Him. He will decide when and how your harvest will come, but it will surely come. Relax, trust the process, live your life, keep praising God, and sowing. Soon you will put in your sickle to reap.
It is a call to a life of generosity. Don’t let the tough economy tie your hands. If your hands are closed to give, they cannot receive also. Sow financial seeds for a harvest of the same; your seed may leave your hand, but it never leaves your life; it will come back – good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Often, what you get from life is what you put into it. Certain levels of demand require certain levels of deposits. This is the seed principle.
