Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. – Matthew 13:58
REFERENCE
Matthew 13:53-58
Today’s passage reveals what happens when we put a limit on God through unbelief: “It leads to ‘no mighty works.’” So, although God is all powerful and there is nothing impossible for Him to do, unbelief in His ability puts a limit on how much He can achieve in your life.
God does not like to be doubted or limited, He is not a man. He does not have just one strategy or style to bring you out of any bind. He is not stuck in yesterday’s ways or miracles. His mercies are new everyday and He can make a way where there is no way.
Psalm 78:40-56 outlined how the Israelites provoked God again and again in the wilderness because they doubted His abilities and placed a limitation on Him, thereby forgetting His mighty deliverance and provisions for them in the past.
Likewise, when you doubt God and worry over how He will accomplish the things He says He will do in your life this year, you are putting a limit on Him. God has said, “no eye has seen, ear heard nor heart understood what He has prepared for you who love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9). So why not rejoice about His promises?
Have faith in God’s Word; yield not your heart to doubts, unbelief and every lie the devil may throw your way today!
Reflect upon God’s goodness to you in the past, and MAKE MELODY to Him this MONDAY!
