And David said, ‘What have I done now? Is there not a cause?’ – I Samuel 17:29
REFERENCE
l Samuel 17:26-29
God had a purpose for you to fulfill on earth before He allowed you to be conceived by your mother. So, no matter the circumstances surrounding your birth, you are significant in God’s scheme of things.
At some point in your life, the question of why you are here will surface, especially as you mature in age. How you answer this question will determine how you see, interact with, and impact the world. It is therefore important that you find real answers to this question because it is a question of your God-ordained purpose in life.
To answer this question, let these scriptures guide you:
* You have a specific assignment to fulfill (Esther 4:14, Matthew 4:14).
* You are here because multitudes need you (Jonah 3:1-10).
* You are here for God’s glory (Revelations 4:11).
* You are here to show someone God’s light – salvation (Matthew 5:14).
David asked, “Is there not a cause?” Surely there is a cause for which you showed up at this point in history. And as you renew your mind with the truths listed above, you will begin to pursue and achieve the things God ordained for you.
This makes your life a contribution and gives you satisfaction. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing you are in the will of God for your life!
