“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” ~ John 6:63

John 6:63
We live in a world of tangibles; hence, we respond to and place value on tangible things. For that reason, we often unconsciously disregard the place of invisible and intangible materials, yet scripture and experience prove their existence. Hebrews 11 says the things we see today are a product of intangible things…yes, the immaterial was the raw material for the material.
The immaterial raw material that God used to form the material world was His word. Words are unseen, so we mistakenly disregard their potential. Yet, they bear untold creative power. Jesus said the words He speaks are spirit and life; that means they are spiritual (intangible) in nature but alive. Just because they are unseen does not suggest that they are impotent.
Words are spirit, and they are alive. They are containers of power – the power of life and death. They are pregnant with positive or negative forces, which greatly influence physical realities. They can reconstruct the structure of the seen from the place of the unseen; hence, be careful how you use them or how you let people use them on you. Words carry spiritual power.
People say, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” but is this true? See how words have ruined people’s lives, caused offenses, broken marriages and relationships, and hurt people’s emotions. Jacob didn’t beat his sons for their mischief; he only spoke. The spiritually-aware know the power of words: ask mature believers or those in the occult. Words are used to invoke blessings or to curse and cast spells. So, watch your words.
This planet is a word-planet made by words and responds to words. Therefore, everything in this world responds to your confession of God’s words – remember that they are spirit and life. Confession is a supernatural law that suspends and supersedes natural laws. What you say will set the laws of the universe in motion to work for or against you; it will determine your worth in life’s journey and put your destiny in stone. What do you want to see? Start saying it.
