And the satraps,…gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. – Daniel 3:27

These three Hebrew men, went through what posed a threat and great fear for them with uncompromising faith in God; they stood strong in the face of adversity not minding they were minorities in a foreign land.
Persecution is the word for what these men went through. They were persecuted because they wouldn’t compromise on the commandment of God by bowing to another god (Exodus 20:3-5).
Every true believer faces some form of persecution or the other; you may even be facing one right now in your office, school, relationships, etc, because you wouldn’t compromise on the word of God.
It may even seem like things are going downhill as a result of your stance of ‘no compromise.’ But, like we saw with these men, they came out of the furnace not looking ruffled, the fire didn’t have any power over them because God was with them, and this eventually led to their promotion. So, despite the furnace confronting you today, you will come out victorious because God is with you and on your side. What’s more, there won’t be any smell of fire on you – your eventual elevation will make up for any lost time and pain you suffered.
