Life and society can put you in a box and tell you it is too late to pursue your dreams or start over again. If you unconsciously buy into this philosophy, you will cheat yourself and fail to achieve your goals because a sense of inadequacy will overcome you. Decide today to let the world see your new version; it is not too late, and you are not too old to dream again.
It is said that ‘morning is when you wake up.’ Stories abound of people who started when it was considered too late. Colonel Sanders started Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) at 65 and became a billionaire at 88. I can’t tell what life was like for him before that age, but age 65 became his morning; he woke up, got off his bed of excuses, and built a globally acclaimed brand.
Dr. Josefina Monasterio, a female bodybuilder, started bodybuilding at age 59. She is 74 years old and has over 400 trophies in bodybuilding. She writes in her book, ‘Vibrant at Any Age,’ “Your chronological age is not the defining factor that determines your wellbeing…the integration of body, mind, emotions, and spirit is the most powerful vehicle for reaching your goals…Age is a mindset.” Age 59 was Dr. Josefina’s morning. Today can be your morning; it is not too late.
Sarah was well past child-bearing age, but that didn’t stop her from having a child at 90. It is not too late to fulfill your dreams, particularly if you put God in the equation. No one expected such a result from Sarah at her age; I believe God used her to let people of coming generations know that He puts no age limitations on anyone who desires to wake up and pursue their goals.
God wants to revive old dreams, desires, and aspirations this morning. You can start now, or you will look back tomorrow and wish you had started today. Today can be your morning; it is not too late. When you are ready to begin your journey, I assure you that God will be ready to travel with you and give you a remarkable story like those of Sanders, Josefina, and Sarah. You are next in line for a miracle that defies age limitations. Wake up and start; it is not too late.
