“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” ~ John 10:10

John 10:7-10
Jesus did not just come into the world to save us from sins or to make us Christians; He brought something more than that – He came to give us the very life of God. He said I have come that you may have abundant life; the amplified classic version calls it ‘full life and overflowing life.’ You and I are possessors of the very life of God, the life that makes God. God is resident in you.
When God made Adam, He breathed into his nostrils; although made of clay, he was animated by the very life of God. That life made Adam a unique kind of being. He was filled with the nature of God. He could stand before God and commune with Him without any sense of inferiority or consciousness of unworthiness. That life made Adam so intelligent that he gave all the plant and animal lives in the garden names that fit their nature without recourse to God.
When Adam fell into sin in the garden, he lost the very precious life of God. God had said he would die on the day that he ate the forbidden fruit. Of course, he did not die physically, but he did spiritually; the ‘earth’ in him became dominant over the god-life in him. For the first time, Adam realized his nakedness, and hid from God – the first signs of shame and inferiority.
Jesus captured what happened in the Garden of Eden when He said, “The thief (satan) came to steal, kill, and destroy.” Satan’s greatest heist ever was against Adam. He stole his authority over creation, killed the life of God in him, and destroyed his paradise and relationship with God. This is why Jesus said, “I have come that you may have life.” Jesus came to fully restore what we lost through Adam: Dominion, Authority, Victory over satan, and the very life of God.
If you are born again, Jesus has planted the life of God in you. This life is abundant life; it cannot be terminated or harassed by satan; it is supernatural, healthy, and full of glory. Live conscious of it in all your dealings. What makes God who He is is in you. You are not a mere man, subject to the manipulations of satan. Hear what Jesus said about you, “You are gods.”
