ANOINTING OF MIGHT

“…the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” – Isaiah 11:2b.

‘Might’ is rooted in the Hebrew word ‘gibbor.’ It means “champion, strong, mighty, or he who excels.” It is related to the name of God, El Gibbor – The Mighty God. The spirit of might manifests when God is acknowledged as the doer of any great exploit impossible to man, one that is clear to all that, ‘God did it.’ The spirit of might is an expression of the Holy Spirit in a man’s life. It took Gideon from hiding to doing great exploits. He was called a mighty man of valor. The spirit of might causes God’s strength to overtake your weaknesses. He takes you from a low-level existence to a place of impact, where you become a mighty man of valor.

Acts 10:38 says, “Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by demons, for God was with Him.” The anointing of might upon Jesus empowered Him to execute God’s will. Purpose may have been calling you to ‘step out’, but you have been reluctant and afraid of the extent of what you are to do; tap into the anointing of might. The ‘anointing of might’ is the impartation of divine strength to get outstanding results and bring things into effect. It is for people who have a mission, an assignment, a project, or a huge and daunting task. The anointing of might upon Samson caused him to achieve unusual feats. He tore a lion apart with his bare hands, caught 300 foxes and tied them together by the tail, and carried the gate of a city. The result of the anointing of might is evident. Jesus said, “Go tell John, the lame walk, and the blind see.” He meant, “My results speak for Me.” Operating under this anointing will produce outstanding results beyond your learning or ability; they will be evident for all to see.

The ‘anointing of might’ is an anointing for battle and conquest. It makes you walk in perpetual (not sporadic) victory. It keeps you from losing battles by losing faith, hope, territory, time, and progress. It fortifies you with the strength and courage to undertake daunting tasks. It refreshes you from tiredness where you feel damaged and depleted. It equips you with strength for all-round victorious living. It gives your words commanding authority in the spirit realm so that when you speak, demons tremble.

I decree a release of divine might upon you, for a turnaround of your story, in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS

+ Father, let the Spirit of Might rest upon me today, to give me uncommon victories, courage to get extraordinary results, strength for my weakness, and the ability to confront and defeat every lion (of trouble) that roars against me.

+ Lord, through You, I shall do valiantly. I shall tear lions apart. My results will announce me. I go in this might, I conquer oppositions, I overcome depression, I win all my battles, and I take new territories. 

+ I receive strength for my calling, my projects, my family, serving God, and my academics, in Jesus’ name. I will be refreshed and restored, I will be healed and renewed, and my cup will run over with prosperity. God is with me and I move from survival to victory, in Jesus’ name.
