And the LORD spoke to me saying: ‘You have skirted this mountain long enough; turn northward…’ – Deuteronomy 2:2-3
REFERENCE
Deuteronomy 2:1-3, 24&25
The children of Israel spent 38 years stuck in the same mountain, going about in circles, satisfied with the status quo, until God commanded them to turn northward (forward). In the same way, you may have stayed longer than you should in certain areas of your life, and you wonder if you can break free and move on to better things.
Stagnation is never the plan of God for you; that is why you need to fight it. However, there are certain barriers or lids that you unconsciously may have allowed over you that will not let you move to the next level, until you break them.
They include:
Acceptance of the Status Quo – by conforming to what is happening in your life without putting up any fights, accepting it as the will of God for you.
Associations – you can never rise higher than the associations you keep; friends, mentors, those you listen to, etc.
Attitudes/Mindsets – if you think and say nothing good can come out of you, so shall it be, because ‘as a man thinks in his heart…’ (Proverbs 23:7a KJV). Lack of Certain Information – sometimes stagnation comes because you lack the information that will unlock the mysteries to you next level.
To break free from this ‘glass prison,’ resist everything that is contrary to the will (Word) of God for your life. Latch unto people that have what you want in life. Renew your mind with the Word of God, and desperately hunt for the wisdom that will put you in a better pedestal in life.
Have a fantastic weekend!
