“He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their chains in pieces.” ~ Psalm 107:14
REFERENCE:
I described ‘chains’ as events, situations, or patterns that seem to contest God’s faithfulness in your life. They represent bondage, a bad habit, stagnation, repetitive negative occurrence, limitation, and all forms of emotional or mental oppression. We should make our chains count for God and people; they should not make us bitter or abandon God. We should also show empathy to those in chains by extending God’s love to them, but that is not all; there is more.
Nobody should remain in chains perpetually; Peter said, “May the God of all grace…after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” God never intends for your chains to last. Do not be in chains and settle with it, saying, “Well, this is my lot in life.” No! God wants you free. He is a Chain-breaker who delivers people from all forms of chains.
Our reference reveals people who have found themselves in chains; David said they were bound in afflictions and irons because of disobedience, and erroneous decisions. Their chains were heavy: they almost died, their hearts were overwhelmed with care, and they fell from great heights of success with none to help them, overtaken by sin or faults.
Their deliverance came when they lifted their voice in earnest prayers and cried desperately to God in their chains. God heard and saved them from all their distresses. He brought them out of all forms of life-threatening situations and broke their chains! Yes, He broke their chains in response to their prayers. Maintaining a good attitude in chains is good, but it is better to be free from them. Our God breaks gates of brass and bars of iron. He sets captives free from every oppression. He will break your chains and fill your mouth with thanksgiving.
Are you dealing with a lack that seems to have dragged on for years? Do you feel chains holding your marriage, career, business, etc.? Do you feel restricted, unable to break through, and plagued with a repetition of misfortune? Does it seem a while since you have experienced definite acts of favor? Are you bound by mental oppression, depression, a bad habit, or sin? I call on God, the Chain-breaker, to arise on your behalf and break every chain or fetter around you. I decree and declare your freedom by the Spirit of Liberty. I break satan’s yoke around you and your family. The anointing of the Chain-breaker is released upon you right now, and I set you loose from every chain, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Say, “I AM FREE!”
