Now it happened, as he was telling the king how he had restored the dead to life, that there was the woman whose son he had restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.” II Kings 8:5-6
REFERENCE
II Kings 8:1-6
This Shunammite woman’s coming to entreat the king for the restoration of her land at the same time Gehazi was telling the king about her life, was not a coincidence. It was a divine orchestration by God. Gehazi visited the king at a certain time and the king asked him about Elisha’s great deeds; providentially, the woman came into the palace just at the same time Gehazi was talking about her particular miracle. After hearing about her testimony and meeting her in person, the king must have been inspired to grant her request for the restoration of her land. He even went further to add the proceeds that accrued from her land while she was away from the land because of the famine.
Ruth equally had a similar experience, she got to Israel in the season of Barley harvest, at a time when the reapers were working…and more importantly, at the time when Boaz came from Bethlehem to the field to greet his workers. Their paths crossed and she became better for it. One minute of being at the right place at the right time can make all the difference in a person’s life. Timing is powerful and affects so much in our lives.
The Lord in Psalm 32:8, promised to guide us (the godly) along the best pathway for our lives, and to advise and watch over us. Moreover, He rules in the affairs of men and times and seasons are in His hands (Daniel 2:21 & 4:17). Therefore, you must trust Him with the seasons of your life, learning to respond to the ‘promptings’ of His Holy Spirit in your quiet time of prayer, study, meditation, or listening to the Word.
You do not need to know all the details when God is the one leading you; maybe you don’t like the path God is taking you through, but just trust that He will lead you to a great place. So, all you have to do is to trust Him wholeheartedly and simply submit to His leadership. God’s invisible hands can divinely orchestrate your steps to be at the right place, at the right moment to connect with your heart’s desires – spiritually, emotionally or materially; He has it all figured out. Walk with His Spirit.
